Privacy Policy

Petr Selinger ("I", "me", or "the Developer") operates several mobile applications (collectively, the "Apps"). This page informs you of my policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use my Apps and the choices you have associated with that data.

1. Applicable Applications

This policy applies to the Cinch app.

    2. Information Collection and Use

    My primary goal is to provide functional, "offline-first" utilities. I do not collect personal contact information (such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers) unless you voluntarily provide it for support purposes.

    Data Synchronization & iCloud

    Cinch uses Apple’s EventKit to store your reminders locally on your device and Apple’s iCloud / CloudKit service to synchronize data across your personal Apple devices (iPhone, Mac, and Apple Watch).

    Sync signals consist solely of anonymous technical metadata (such as random sync IDs and timestamps) processed directly through your personal iCloud account. The app developer does not own external servers, does not track users, and does not collect, read, or store your reminder contents, task titles, or personal data.

    Log Data and Crash Reports

    To ensure the stability and performance of the Apps, I may collect anonymous diagnostic information when an error or crash occurs. This data includes:

    • Device model and operating system version.
    • App configuration and state at the time of the error.
    • Time and date of the event.

    This information is used strictly for debugging and improving the software and is not linked to your personal identity.

    3. Third-Party Services

    The Apps utilize trusted third-party services to assist in diagnostic reporting and performance monitoring:

    • Apple (App Store Connect / TestFlight): Used for crash reporting and app analytics if you have opted-in via your iOS system settings.

    4. Service Providers

    I may employ third-party companies only to facilitate anonymous technical analysis (such as crash reporting). These third parties have access to your anonymized Log Data only to perform these tasks on my behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

    5. Links to Other Sites

    Our Service may contain links to external sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. I strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit, as I have no control over their content or practices.

    6. Children’s Privacy

    These Apps do not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If I discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, I will immediately delete it from my records.

    7. Security

    I value your trust and strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting any data related to your use of the Apps. However, please be aware that no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

    8. Changes to This Policy

    I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective when they are posted on this page.
